WABA Status

A WABA can move through statuses that affect whether numbers can message. Partners should monitor status in Meta WhatsApp Manager and via Partner health APIs where available.

Common ideas

• Approved / connected — normal messaging (subject to limits and quality)
• Pending / review — Meta is reviewing business info, website, or naming; messaging may be limited
• Restricted / banned — policy or integrity issues; messaging blocked until resolved
• Rejected — onboarding or naming failed requirements

Exact labels vary in Meta UI. Always check Account Quality / WhatsApp Manager for the current state and required actions.
