Test and troubleshoot webhooks

Test every webhook after you create or change it. A successful configuration means the callback URL receives the events you selected and your application processes them correctly.

Test a webhook

1. Open Webhooks and confirm that the intended webhook is configured for the selected app.
2. Confirm the callback URL, payload format, and subscribed events.
3. Trigger a WhatsApp action that produces a selected event. For example, send a message and wait for its delivery or read state.
4. Review your application's request logs.
5. Confirm that the event payload is received, parsed, and stored or acted on as expected.

Expected result

Your application consistently receives the events it needs and has enough logging to investigate failures.
