Meta Business Portfolio

A Meta business portfolio (formerly Meta Business Manager) lets organisations manage Meta business assets in one place. On the WhatsApp Business Platform, a portfolio is mainly the container for WhatsApp Business Accounts (WABAs).

You must have a business portfolio to use the WhatsApp Business Platform.

Key points

• A company can have multiple portfolios; keep one unless there is a clear reason to separate assets.
• A portfolio can contain multiple WABAs.
• Each portfolio can register a limited number of phone numbers (often up to 20 as limits increase).

Create a business portfolio

Before you begin

• Access Meta Business Suite with a Facebook profile or managed Meta account.
• Check whether a portfolio already exists for the organisation to avoid duplicates.

In Meta Business Suite

1. Go to business.facebook.com and sign in.
2. Open the drop-down under Home.
3. Choose Create a business portfolio.
4. Enter a public business name (no special characters).
5. Confirm your details / email if prompted, then create the portfolio.

You can also create a portfolio during Embedded Signup.
